1. What HostLens does
HostLens is a personal fleet analytics tool for Turo hosts. It helps you track competitor pricing by reading rental marketplace search pages you visit in your browser. No automated requests are made to any third-party website.
2. What data is collected
  • Page captures: When you visit a Turo search or listing page, the HostLens Chrome extension sends the HTML of that page to your own HostLens account. This is the same HTML your browser already downloaded; the extension does not make any additional requests to Turo.
  • Account information: Your name, email address, and profile picture provided by Google OAuth when you sign in.
  • Host identity: Your Turo host ID, detected automatically from your public host profile page when you visit it.
3. How we use your data
Your data is used exclusively to provide the HostLens service to you:
  • Parsing captured pages to extract competitor listing prices and availability.
  • Computing pricing recommendations for your own fleet vehicles.
  • Displaying your fleet analytics dashboard.
Your data is never used for advertising, sold to third parties, or shared with any other service.
4. Data storage and security
All captured data is stored in a private database associated with your account. Data is stored on servers you or HostLens control and is accessible only to your authenticated session. Sensitive fields (license plates, VINs visible in captured pages) are automatically redacted before storage.
5. Third-party services
  • Google OAuth: Used for sign-in. We receive your name, email address, and profile picture. See Google Privacy Policy.
  • Turo listing images: Vehicle photos shown in the dashboard are loaded directly by your browser from images.turo.com. HostLens does not download or store these images.
6. Your rights
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below. We will permanently remove your data within 30 days.
7. Children's privacy
HostLens is intended for Turo hosts and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of HostLens after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
